Description

The Bayliner 285 SB from 2002 is a sporty and comfortable motorboat of 8.7 meters in length with a powerful MerCruiser 300 hp petrol engine. The polyester hull with v-bottom ensures a stable ride, supported by hydraulic steering and automatic Lectrotab trim flaps. Inside, the boat offers four sleeping places divided over an open front cabin, closable with a curtain, and a separate aft cabin. The interior is light and modern finished with white wall coverings and beige upholstery. The boat is equipped with practical facilities such as a wet cell with electric toilet and hand shower, a kitchen with spirit stove, electric refrigerator with freezer compartment and microwave. Comfort is further increased by air conditioning that can cool and heat. Three batteries are present for the electrical installation, with associated chargers for starter, service and bow thruster batteries. Navigation and communication are complete with Raymarine equipment. The cockpit and the swimming platform are equipped with maintenance-friendly artificial teak, with extras such as an electric anchor winch and stainless steel swimming ladder. This makes this Bayliner a versatile and well-equipped cruiser for recreational boating pleasure.

The Purchase Process: How Does It Work?

If you are working with a yacht broker for the first time, it’s helpful to understand how the purchase process works and what you can expect from us.

Orientation and Making an Offer

Do you have a yacht in mind? You can schedule a viewing without obligation to determine if the yacht meets your expectations. A technical inspection is not necessary at this stage. 

Based on your impression, you can make an offer. We act as an intermediary and negotiate on your behalf with the yacht's owner.

Price Agreement and Purchase Agreement

Once we have agreed on the price, we will draw up a purchase agreement. This usually includes a clause making the purchase subject to a survey by an expert. 

When signing the agreement, we request a 10% deposit. This amount will be held in a secure third-party escrow account.

Survey and Finalization

An expert will carry out a comprehensive survey of the yacht. If any issues are found, the seller will resolve them or compensation will be offered if you prefer to handle the repairs yourself. 

If the issues are too significant, you can cancel the purchase.

Final Payment and Delivery

Once the issues are resolved and you are satisfied, you pay the remaining 90%. This amount will also be securely held in the third-party escrow account. Once you confirm that the yacht meets your expectations, you will sign the delivery document. 

Only then will the funds be released to the seller, and we will schedule the official handover.

Handover and Transfer

Together, we will carefully review all documentation so you know exactly what you are purchasing. We will also inspect the yacht to ensure all issues have been addressed. Of course, we will provide you with explanations on the onboard equipment and key systems. 

Once everything is clear and meets your satisfaction, we will officially hand over the keys and your new boating adventure can begin.
