Description

This charming Valkvlet 840 from 1983 is a beautiful representative of traditional Dutch craftsmanship. Built at the renowned shipyard P. Valk in Franeker to a design by Th. Gillissen , this vlet combines timeless lines with a solid, steel construction. Everything on board exudes peace and reliability - from the multi-chine hull to the solid superstructure with large windows in aluminum frames, which provide plenty of light and good visibility all around.

With a Volvo Penta 2003T diesel engine of 43 hp you sail powerfully and comfortably, supported by solid technology such as a mechanical chain steering, acoustic engine alarms with LED indicators, and a practical 12/220V installation with modern battery charger and inverter. The engine installation is in a neat condition and is clearly built in.

Inside, you’ll find a warm, classic interior with atmospheric woodwork and lots of daylight. The bow offers a cozy seating area that can easily be converted into a comfortable double bed. Thanks to the compact layout, everything is on board for a pleasant stay, including a simple galley with Dometic 2-burner gas hob and refrigerator, a manual toilet, and a Trumatic warm air heater for trips in all seasons.

The electric water system works cleverly with a foot-operated tap control: this gives you control without unnecessary technology. Outside, the vlet is practical and stylish: a recently installed beige cockpit tent (2025) offers shelter, and an integrated stainless steel swim ladder on the transom makes boarding from the water easy.

Volvo Penta
The oil pressure gauge is an audible alarm with an LED indicator. There is no classic pointer or display; when the oil pressure is low, the system gives an audible signal and an LED light lights up to warn of a problem. This gives you an immediate and clear warning without having to read an analogue gauge.
Temperature gauge
Volvo Penta
The temperature gauge also works with an acoustic alarm and an LED indicator. There is no traditional dial or display; when the engine temperature is too high, an acoustic signal sounds and an LED light lights up to warn of overheating immediately. The Purchase Process: How Does It Work?

If you are working with a yacht broker for the first time, it’s helpful to understand how the purchase process works and what you can expect from us.
1

Orientation and Making an Offer

Do you have a yacht in mind? You can schedule a viewing without obligation to determine if the yacht meets your expectations. A technical inspection is not necessary at this stage.

Based on your impression, you can make an offer. We act as an intermediary and negotiate on your behalf with the yacht's owner.
2

Price Agreement and Purchase Agreement

Once we have agreed on the price, we will draw up a purchase agreement. This usually includes a clause making the purchase subject to a survey by an expert.

When signing the agreement, we request a 10% deposit. This amount will be held in a secure third-party escrow account.

3

Survey and Finalization

An expert will carry out a comprehensive survey of the yacht. If any issues are found, the seller will resolve them or compensation will be offered if you prefer to handle the repairs yourself.

If the issues are too significant, you can cancel the purchase.
4

Final Payment and Delivery

Once the issues are resolved and you are satisfied, you pay the remaining 90%. This amount will also be securely held in the third-party escrow account. Once you confirm that the yacht meets your expectations, you will sign the delivery document.

Only then will the funds be released to the seller, and we will schedule the official handover.
5

Handover and Transfer

Together, we will carefully review all documentation so you know exactly what you are purchasing. We will also inspect the yacht to ensure all issues have been addressed. Of course, we will provide you with explanations on the onboard equipment and key systems.

Once everything is clear and meets your satisfaction, we will officially hand over the keys and your new boating adventure can begin.
