Description

This 1996 Valkkruiser 12.60 AK is a paragon of Dutch craftsmanship and solidity. Designed by Gijs van der Valk and built at the renowned G. van der Valk shipyard in Sprang-Capelle, this classic motor yacht combines comfort, robust construction, and reliable sailing characteristics.

At 12.60 meters long, 3.80 meters wide, and with a draft of 1.10 meters, this steel yacht offers the perfect balance of stability, space, and maneuverability. The hard-chined hull ensures smooth sailing and minimizes rolling, making long voyages comfortable and relaxing. Thanks to its 3.30-meter air draft and a draft of just 2.55 meters, this vessel is also ideal for cruising inland waterways and canals.

In recent years, this Valkkruiser has been meticulously maintained and modernized in key areas. For example, the ship was professionally repainted in 2020, received a completely new teak deck in 2015, and a new spray hood was installed in 2022. In addition, the engine was fitted with a new starter motor (2024), and the batteries were replaced in 2023, further increasing its reliability and operational safety.

On board, you'll be welcomed by warm, classic decor. The spacious saloon with its L-shaped seating area invites you to relax together, while the adjoining galley is equipped with a 4-burner gas cooktop, an Electrolux refrigerator with freezer, and ample cupboard space for longer stays on board. Opposite the galley is a cozy dinette.

The layout is well-thought-out and comfortable. Aft is the spacious owner's cabin with a freestanding double bed, while forward is a guest cabin with two single bunk beds. There are four fixed berths in total. The bathroom is equipped with an electric toilet and a separate shower enclosure with a shower tray and curtain. Hot water is provided by a 53-liter boiler, heated by the engine or shore power.

The reliable DAF DD 575 diesel engine with 120 hp is cooled via an indirect cooling system, which minimizes wear and corrosion. Propulsion is provided by a propeller shaft and a PRM 302 D3 reversing gear, while bow and stern thrusters ensure easy maneuvering.

The electrical system is well-equipped, including a Victron Energy Atlas Combi 24/1800 battery charger/inverter, shore power connection, and 12V, 24V, and 220V systems. Navigation is facilitated by a compass, depth sounder, log/speedometer, rudder angle indicator, and a Standard Horizon VHF radio.

The spacious aft deck and swim platform are finished in teak, the full stainless steel railings provide all-round safety, and the davits allow for a dinghy. Anchoring is easy with a galvanized Danforth anchor and a manual Lofrans windlass.

This Valkkruiser is not only a stylish and comfortable motor yacht, but also in excellent condition. Thanks to its solid construction and practical layout, this yacht is ideal for those seeking reliable boating pleasure with a classic look.

The Purchase Process: How Does It Work?

If you are working with a yacht broker for the first time, it’s helpful to understand how the purchase process works and what you can expect from us.
1

Orientation and Making an Offer

Do you have a yacht in mind? You can schedule a viewing without obligation to determine if the yacht meets your expectations. A technical inspection is not necessary at this stage.

Based on your impression, you can make an offer. We act as an intermediary and negotiate on your behalf with the yacht's owner.
2

Price Agreement and Purchase Agreement

Once we have agreed on the price, we will draw up a purchase agreement. This usually includes a clause making the purchase subject to a survey by an expert.

When signing the agreement, we request a 10% deposit. This amount will be held in a secure third-party escrow account.

3

Survey and Finalization

An expert will carry out a comprehensive survey of the yacht. If any issues are found, the seller will resolve them or compensation will be offered if you prefer to handle the repairs yourself.

If the issues are too significant, you can cancel the purchase.
4

Final Payment and Delivery

Once the issues are resolved and you are satisfied, you pay the remaining 90%. This amount will also be securely held in the third-party escrow account. Once you confirm that the yacht meets your expectations, you will sign the delivery document.

Only then will the funds be released to the seller, and we will schedule the official handover.
5

Handover and Transfer

Together, we will carefully review all documentation so you know exactly what you are purchasing. We will also inspect the yacht to ensure all issues have been addressed. Of course, we will provide you with explanations on the onboard equipment and key systems.

Once everything is clear and meets your satisfaction, we will officially hand over the keys and your new boating adventure can begin.
