Use of gas Is your yacht equipped with a gas system? Then use propane or butane. Always place the gas bottle outside and upright in a gas tank. Also store empty gas cylinders safely in a cabinet or gas tank. Are you leaving the vessel or no longer use gas appliances, such as the heating? Then make sure the gas bottle is closed. Always ensure that there is sufficient ventilation on board. This will prevent condensation or carbon monoxide on board. We advise you to have the gas hose inspected every three years by a water sports organisation with the 'Gas Technology Certificate'. Use of electricity To prevent fire or other damage, it is also recommended to regularly check the electrical equipment on board. For example, check that all connections work properly and that the cabling is in good order. Also check the liquid level in the batteries regularly and fill up if necessary.
