Description

The 2002 Rodman R-38 is a sturdy and stylish 11.78-meter motor yacht with a polyester hull and superstructure, designed by Astilleros Rodman in Spain. Thanks to its V-shaped hull, it offers comfortable and stable cruising, even in rougher waters. The boat is powered by two reliable Volvo Penta TAMD-63P diesel engines, each developing 360 hp, cooled via an indirect cooling system that protects the engine from corrosion. Hydraulic steering can be operated from both the saloon and the flybridge, while manually adjustable trim tabs ensure optimal balance and performance on the water.

The interior boasts a warm wood look with brown Alcantara upholstery and accommodates four people in two comfortable cabins: an owner's cabin with a freestanding double bed and a guest cabin with two single beds. Both bathrooms are equipped with a shower, VacuFlush toilet, and sink, with the shower area being curtained off. The galley is modernly equipped with a two-burner Schott Ceran induction cooktop and a Siemens combination microwave oven, complemented by a spacious Solid Ice refrigerator with freezer compartment.

Outside, the boat stands out with its teak cockpit and integrated swim platform featuring a fold-down stainless steel ladder and teak steps. Additional comfort and safety are provided by the electric Vetus bow thruster, the self-draining cockpit system, and the automatic fire suppression system in the engine compartment. The boat features a comprehensive electrical system with separate batteries for starting, service, and the bow thruster, supported by a Victron Energy inverter and battery charger.

For navigation and communication, the boat is equipped with modern Raymarine electronics, including an autopilot, chartplotter, and radar, supplemented by a Plastimo compass and Shipmate VHF radio. The Purchase Process: How Does It Work?

If you are working with a yacht broker for the first time, it’s helpful to understand how the purchase process works and what you can expect from us.

Orientation and Making an Offer

Do you have a yacht in mind? You can schedule a viewing without obligation to determine if the yacht meets your expectations. A technical inspection is not necessary at this stage. 

Based on your impression, you can make an offer. We act as an intermediary and negotiate on your behalf with the yacht's owner.

Price Agreement and Purchase Agreement

Once we have agreed on the price, we will draw up a purchase agreement. This usually includes a clause making the purchase subject to a survey by an expert. 

When signing the agreement, we request a 10% deposit. This amount will be held in a secure third-party escrow account.

Survey and Finalization

An expert will carry out a comprehensive survey of the yacht. If any issues are found, the seller will resolve them or compensation will be offered if you prefer to handle the repairs yourself. 

If the issues are too significant, you can cancel the purchase.

Final Payment and Delivery

Once the issues are resolved and you are satisfied, you pay the remaining 90%. This amount will also be securely held in the third-party escrow account. Once you confirm that the yacht meets your expectations, you will sign the delivery document. 

Only then will the funds be released to the seller, and we will schedule the official handover.

Handover and Transfer

Together, we will carefully review all documentation so you know exactly what you are purchasing. We will also inspect the yacht to ensure all issues have been addressed. Of course, we will provide you with explanations on the onboard equipment and key systems. 

Once everything is clear and meets your satisfaction, we will officially hand over the keys and your new boating adventure can begin.
